In recent years, the construction of the New National Stadium in 2019 and JR East Takanawa Gateway Station in 2020 have made headlines in Japan.

I visited the site and found it very attractive. It has the view of Sapporo city in front, and the mountains in the background, which are conditions hard to find in Japan. I was attracted by the potential of the site.

A housing complex where you can feel at home

A typical condominium is like a “big box” and it is hard for residents to feel that the architecture itself is their home. Here, I think residents can feel that “it’s my home”.
I emphasized the idea that the accumulation of small houses constitutes one large house, and that we can see the unit as a human scale that takes the individual as its scale.
